I am Veyt’s lead renewable gas analyst. My objective is to help our clients understand how the biomethane market works and assess the value of certificates. I oversee our data importation processes, ensuring accuracy and addressing gaps. Using our database and updating it with new policy decisions and market changes, I analyse trends in Guarantees of Origin and other renewable energy markets. Having a STEM background, I also take an interest and monitor disruptive technologies in the energy sector.
I trained as an engineer, and I take a practical approach to problem solving. I have a deep understanding and appreciation for the physical infrastructure that underpins the energy transition. This means I can link up technology innovations with demand and supply scenarios. My first task at Veyt was to set up the biomethane dashboard and portal – importing data, filling in gaps, sense check the data and then turn that into written actionable analysis.
I worked hands on in the power sector before I came to analysis. For fifteen years, my role was maintaining and managing power plants and I witnessed firsthand the transformation of the Australian grid from fossil fuel to renewables. I could see where the wider world was headed so decided to take a masters in solar technology and renewables which brought me to Europe. After I graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, I joined Veyt, working on the market and economic side of the transition.
I live in Oslo and speak English. In my spare time I enjoy gaming and learning Norwegian
