Yesterday (30 June) marked the deadline for host parties to submit approval of transitioning CDM activities to the Article 6.4 Supervisory Body. Activities that did not secure host party approval by this date are permanently excluded from the Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism (PACM), the CDM’s successor under the Paris Agreement, and will not generate emissions reductions under Article 6.4.
