On 19 April, Shell announced the launch of the ‘largest bio-LNG production plant in Germany’. The plant, which commenced construction in early 2022, includes a liquefaction unit as well as three LNG tanks, with a capacity of 100,000 tonnes per annum, half the capacity of the world’s largest bio-LNG plant in the port of Amsterdam.
