German EEG biomethane power tender – volumes slashed in anticipation of low subscription

On 11 March 2025, the German Federal Network Agency, BNetzA announced a reduction in volumes on offer for biomethane power generation, from 300 to around 26 MW.

The tender closes on 1 April 2025, with the maximum bid price of EUR 0.2103/kWh – this ceiling rate has remained unchanged since February 2024….
