I am a quantitative analyst within Renewable Power, specialising in optimisation and mathematical modelling, power markets and systems, investment analysis, quantitative risk management and modelling.
My work primarily focuses on PPA contracts and GO prices, which include balancing costs, price forecasts, and backtesting scenarios. My objective at Veyt is to quantitatively address power systems and markets simultaneously for productive solutions.
I have worked and studied energy and power markets for almost eight years. I believe the system and the market are two pillars that hold the existing energy sector. At my work, I aim to see the improvements and contributions of quantitative solutions to energy markets and systems actors through my thinking. My background includes a PhD in Operations Research/Industrial Economics from NTNU and a master’s in applied mathematics/financial mathematics from METU. My PhD research focused on Stochastic programming in the analysis of flexibility in power systems and markets, while my master’s thesis was about portfolio optimisation.
During my master’s and PhD, I contributed to research projects on local flexibility markets/systems design and power market modelling with scientific articles and reports. At my previous workplace, I worked as a Data Scientist for hydropower and wind power assets. My duty was to design digital solutions, such as data analytics and production optimisation services, for asset managers on an asset technology basis.
Specialising in data, analysis, and insights for all significant low-carbon markets and renewable energy.
