Parliament endorsed deal on ETS2 MSR

The European Parliament has endorsed amendments to the ETS2 Market Stability Reserve aimed at strengthening the system’s response to high allowance prices.

The changes would alter how and when additional ETS2 allowances can be released, as lawmakers move closer to final adoption of the revised market design ahead of the system’s 2028 start.
