Liese draft suggests breathing price trigger mechanism

Peter Liese’s draft report would reshape several key elements of the EU ETS review, from the Article 29a price mechanism and carbon removals to free allocation, CBAM, and auction revenues.

The proposed amendments point to a different balance between market stability, industrial protection, and decarbonisation incentives than the Commission’s original proposal.
