The French decree N 2023 – 1048 relating to electricity GOs entered into force on 19 November 2023, after a public consultation in June 2023. The decree modifies the terms and conditions for auctioning supported RES-E GO and responsibilities of a competent body designated to ensure the issuance, transfer and cancellation of GOs. It also extends GOs to non-renewable sources, thus enabling nuclear GOs and specifies the rules applicable to GOs for self-consumed electricity benefiting from support mechanisms.
