Portugal is scheduled to auction around 3.29 TWh of Guarantees of Origin (GOs) on September 14th, and this will be its 12th auction. The auction will be managed by OMIP and the auctioned GOs are from renewable energy which benefited from production or investment support. The revenue will be reverted to the National Electric System.
The GOs would be sold in eight lots and in total represent approximately 1210.56 GWh, 1054.53 GWh, and 1028.933 GWh of GOs produced in May, June and July 2022, respectively.
The reserve price changed, from 0.15 to 0.45 €/MWh.
Compared to the previous auction, the offered volume decreased around 6%, mainly due to the decreasing production from Hydro and Wind : auctioned volumes from both went down by 10 (263 GWh) and 30% (147 GWh) respectively, and this despite the September auction concerning three production months and not two like the previous one. Nonetheless, the offered volume for Solar doubled (140.8%), with volumes from 70.71 GWh to around 141.55 GWh in this auction.
