With a bullish outlook for prices in 2025, we can expect improved revenues for PPA sellers. However, extreme weather events and negative prices will remain a challenge as the wholesale market works towards better integration of renewables and battery storage.

Number of PPAs and annual delivered volumes grow in 2024. Last year recorded 267 PPAs in Europe, up 21 % year on year and a new record in terms of deal count, according to the Veyt PPA database. Contracted capacity stood at 16 GW, almost flat to 2023 level…
