Spanish Biomethane Market Update

The biogas roadmap aims to promote biogas usage, including biomethane, in two main venues: for the power heat production for industry, and for use as biofuels especially in heavy transport. It also details supportive policies to accelerate the adoption of biogas and biomethane, such as promotion of their end-use applications, and the revision of regulations that hinder the integration of green gas in the national gas system, facilitation to access to the gas grids, as well as establishment of a system of Guarantees of Origin (GOs).
