The first biomethane Guarantees of Origin (GOs) from transport-subsidised plants were auctioned on 20 March 2024, with almost 0.5 TWh on offer, representing production from Q4 2023. Almost 380 GWh (77%) were eventually sold, at an average price of EUR 1.20/MWh compared to a reserve of EUR 0.92/MWh.
