Late Saturday 1 June, the European Commission published the Total Number of Allowances in Circulation (TNAC) for 2023. The TNAC is 1111,7 Mt and is the lowest TNAC since the start of the publication in 2017, 23.7 Mt lower than the number for 2022 published in May 2023 (see Figure 1).
