SBTi launches public consultation on the Corporate Net-Zero Standard

The Corporate Net-Zero Standard from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) provides a science-based framework for companies to align with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

The requirements include near-term, long-term targets and sector-specific guidance.

The Corporate Net-Zero Standard version 2.0 introduces a new company categorisation; a new validation model; an enhanced target-setting framework; beyond value-chain mitigation (BVCM); and the introduction of three proposals to address residual emissions.
