Ukraine joins the AIB

Ukraine’s energy regulator and registry operator NEURC has become a member of the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB), taking a vital step towards full integration of the country’s guarantees of origin (GO) market with the rest of Europe. This is the third granted AIB membership to an Energy Community (EnC) country following Serbia’s full membership and Albania’s recent joining.

Now the Ukrainian registry will have to start work on becoming a full member of the European Energy Certificates System (EECS). This would include drafting its domain protocol, among others, describing how they have implemented the standard in their GO sys…
