Spain takes over the presidency of the Council – what’s on the agenda?

From 1 July to 31 December 2023, Spain will take over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, following the half-year Swedish Presidency, and will lead the work in the Council during the following six months. It means that the Spaniards will play a central role in setting and progressing the European bloc’s agenda.
