Portugal is scheduled to auction around 2.32 TWh of Guarantees of Origin (GOs) on April 27th, and this will be its 9th auction. The auction will be managed by OMIP and the auctioned GOs are from renewable energy which benefited from production or investment support. The revenue will be reverted to the National Electric System.
The GOs would be sold in eight lots and in total represent approximately 1.75 TWh and 0.57 TWh of GOs produced in December 2021 and January 2022, respectively. The Wind GOs offered are around 1.68 TWh GOs. The reserve price is 0.15 €/MWh.
Compared to the previous auction, the offered volume dropped around 11%, mainly due to the decreasing production from Solar and Thermal, with volumes from both declining by more than 50%. However, the offered volume for Wind has increased by 7.96% from 1.55 GWh to around 1.68 GWh.
