GHGP Land Sector and Removals (LSR) Guidance: New development

EACsFuels

At the beginning of December 2022, the European Biogas Association (EBA) and 14 co-signatory organisations submitted a joint letter to the Director-General of Energy (DG ENER) of the European Commission (EC) and Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) Global Director to express their concerns about the draft Land Sector and Removals (LSR) Guidance. The draft LSR Guidance denies the use of market-based instruments (biomethane certificates) for reporting Scope 1 emissions.
