Romania launches long-overdue CfD auction

Romania has recently launched its long-awaited inaugural Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction to support 1.5 GW of new renewable capacity expected to come online by 2028.

While both the ceiling prices as well as the auctioned solar capacity were reduced compared to initial government announcements, investor interest should remain strong.
