A newly adopted legislation suggests that Bulgarian guarantees of origin (GOs) issued to renewable producers under a contract-for-premium support scheme will be tradable on the market, increasing GO supply in a market which is already struggling with oversupply. However, the principle of distributing those supported GOs may create market distortions and raises serious questions concerning its actual implementation.
