Today, the EU Energy Ministers took part in an emergency meeting organised by the Czech Presidency of the European Council to agree on an emergency intervention to address the energy crisis. Earlier in September, the European Commission tabled a proposal to curb soaring energy prices. In less than a month, the Ministers reached a political agreement on a proposal.
The agreed measures include:
