Leak: Commission suggests increasing industrial electricity price relief to 70%

The Commission is set to propose changes to the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF) as an emergency measure in response to the energy crisis.

According to a leak secured by Veyt, industrial power price schemes for energy-intensive industries can be temporarily altered by allowing subsidies to exceed the hitherto 50 % reduction in the average wholesale price of electricity (not below EUR 50/MWh) to 70 % for half of the company’s annual power consumption.
