Lisa Zafoschnig
Senior Analyst - Renewable Power
LinkedInAs a senior renewable power analyst at Veyt, I use my holistic understanding of the power market and related low-carbon markets to develop and update our renewable power products. The complexity of power markets, where policy, technology and fundamentals come together, means that it is crucial for clients to identify and understand key market drivers. My objective is to provide a holistic overview that helps stakeholders navigate the energy transition.
I studied physics for my undergraduate degree, and then completed a double degree master’s programme in renewable energy engineering. For my thesis, I spent five years following developments in the European power market and developing tools to model future scenarios.
At THEMA, a consultancy focused on the energy transition, I was responsible for long-term power and hydrogen market outlooks and worked on programming fundamental models. While working for the Norwegian grid operator, Statnett, I had the opportunity to apply firsthand different forecasting models.
As an outdoor enthusiast, I care deeply about sustainability and hope that my work will contribute to a greener future. At Veyt, I like to think that I am pushing for decarbonisation, one number-crunching analysis at a time. My goal is to use my expertise to strengthen our products across low-carbon markets and provide market participants with the data and tools they need to make informed decisions.
I live in Oslo and I speak German, English, Norwegian, French and Italian.
