The hydrogen market: Potential supply and import pathways to the EU

The REPowerEU Plan has established an ambitious target for hydrogen demand by 2030, with half of the required volume expected to be met through imports from other countries, totalling 10 million tons (Mt) of renewable hydrogen by 2030. More than 70 countries are recognised as potential suppliers to the EU; however, only eleven nations are perceived as promising sources of renewable hydrogen at the present stage.
