The European Commission (EC) has recently proposed new CO2 emissions reduction targets for new heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs), including trucks, city buses, and long-distance buses, beginning with some vehicle sub-groups from 2025 onwards. The new proposal introduces stronger CO2 emissions standards for new HDVs with certified CO2 emissions, compared to 2019 levels.
