For many years now, ePower has been conducting regular REGOs and ROCs auctions.
The next e-REGO auction will be held next Tuesday 15 September 2022 and REGOs relating to April 2022 onwards will be auctioned. You can still register for this auction by signing up today on the ePower website.
The possibility to set a reserve price is open to the sellers.
All UK generators can participate and sell their REGOs during these auctions (ROCs as well, the auction will be 29 September 2022). Same for electricity suppliers (bidders), every UK supplier can buy these REGOs.

For ROCs, the charges are 50p per ROC, subject to a minimum fee of £50. For REGOs, the charges are 10p per REGO, subject to a minimum fee of £25 (fees are subject to VAT).
The prices for the REGO auctions, for every technology and vintage, have been following pretty much the same trend as the OTC prices we’ve been witnessing with our data partners.
As per the latest graph, we notice that during the last auction, the Biomass prices were above the OTC prices, despite both of them still rising.
For the Non-Biomass REGOs, the prices are quite similar as well, for CP20. We for now lack auctions data for CP21 but will include it as soon as we have more.
