On 22 February 2023, renewable fund manager, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) acquired the biogas project Envo Biogas in Tønder, Denmark from Canadian company Anaergia. Once commissioned at full capacity, the plant which commenced construction in 2014, is expected to be one of the largest biomethane-producing facilities in Europe.
