The Rassemblement National came in first in 269 constituencies, and second in another 117. The Leftist Alliance leads in 153 and is number two in 155. For Macron’s centrists, the tally is 63 and 151, respectively. The Leftists will make tactical withdrawals in constituencies they finished third and invite voters to support whichever candidate is not from the RN in the run-off net Sunday. It is unclear to what extent the centrists will do the same, President Macron needs to decide by Tuesday.
