Prices in the voluntary carbon market have been driven by the changing list of which credits ICAO has deemed “CORSIA-eligible” over the past few years, given that rising international aviation emissions make for strong offset demand. However, no airline will be surrendering offsets this week, as the emissions baseline is so generous that no participating carriers even have a compliance obligation for the Pilot Phase.
