The Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) has launched its upgraded Hub with a complete technological revamp, the organisation announced on 15 April 2025.
The AIB Hub is the IT platform that connects the member registries for transfers of guarantees of origin (GOs).
The previous monolithic Hub platform has been moved to modular architecture, separating data management (reporting, VAT fraud checks, etc.) from the actual GO transfer processes.
The new Hub also includes an option to start using a new message protocol (AMQP instead of SOAP) and file format (JSON instead of XML), which brings multiple technological benefits and will make the process of transferring GOs more efficient and resilient.
AIB members will gradually introduce these changes into their national GO registries over the next one to two years. The new Hub runs on the latest Java technology, ensuring long-term sustainability and security.
Between 15 April and 23 May 2025, AIB will provide intensive support to its member registries to ensure a smooth transition. Suppliers, producers or intermediaries trading GOs in Europe should notice improvements such as fewer pending transfers and smoother exchanges.
Veyt does not expect any interruption in our loaders of AIB data, as the technical updates concerns data transfers between registries and the Hub.
