Climate is not top of the manifestos for the European elections

Centre-right and liberals seek to distance themselves from the climate agenda. The Social Democrats want a “strong 2040 target” but are sparse on details. The Greens, unsurprisingly, want a fossil phase-out by 2040 but are divided on the role of nuclear.
